Hobson Prior is seeking a Principal Investigator to ensure the safety of participants in clinical trials and oversee the study process according to approved guidelines. You will play a crucial role in advancing medical research by ensuring studies are conducted safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Review study plans and materials to ensure participant safety and study feasibility.
- Complete necessary regulatory forms and attend meetings with study sponsors.
- Communicate with review boards about study approvals and participant safety.
- Explain study details to participants, answer questions, and conduct initial screenings.
- Oversee participant evaluations during the study and manage any health issues that arise.
- Analyze study data and collaborate with sponsors on safety reviews.
- Prepare and review study reports and documentation.
- Assist in developing study designs and schedules.
- Provide medical and clinical guidance at the study site.
- Support other departments with training and procedure development.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid state license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Completion of a residency program in family, internal, or emergency medicine.
- Authorization to prescribe certain medications.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Experience in clinical research is beneficial.
