Phlebotomist I (Certified) – Pediatrics Experience

Location: Miami, FL

Duration: 3+ Months (Potential Contract-to-Hire Opportunity)

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00/hr. (Based on Experience)

Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (with every other Saturday from 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM)

• T9T - 20445 Biscayne Blvd, Suite H8

Job Overview:

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Miami, FL. This opportunity provides a chance to work with a top-tier healthcare organization, with potential for long-term employment after the initial 3-month contract period.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed, applying electrodes and ensuring quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens sent to external laboratories or for transportation.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
