Develop and implement waste management plans to meet environmental standards and regulations. Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of waste management systems. Design and oversee the construction of waste disposal facilities. Stay informed about advancements in waste management technology and industry best practices. Conduct research and analysis to identify innovative waste management solutions. Monitor waste management systems and evaluate their effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on waste management issues. Prepare reports detailing waste management activities, compliance, and performance. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Solid Waste Engineer or a similar role. Strong knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices. Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of waste management principles. Proficient in waste management software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience with landfill design and operation. Project management experience.
