Location: Remote US East Coast/Central Time Zones
Pay Rate: $70,000-80,000/year to start

Key Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant at SPM, you will be responsible for:
Financial Management & Accounting Operations:
?\tManage the full-cycle accounting for 600-800 residential units, including bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
?\tAdminister and maintain the accounting software system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data entry.
?\tPrepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and related documentation to support business decision-making.
?\tConduct monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial records.
?\tAssist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
?\tSupport tax preparation and compliance efforts to ensure timely and accurate filing.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
?\tSupervise a team of 1-2 bookkeepers to ensure accurate and efficient accounting operations.
?\tDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to promote collaboration and resolve issues.
?\tOversee employee onboarding and provide training to ensure all staff are well-prepared for their roles.
?\tCollaborate with external auditors during the audit process to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.
Financial Planning and Compliance:
?\tManage cash flow and treasury activities to support the company's financial stability.
?\tParticipate in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting to support financial planning and strategic initiatives.
?\tEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
?\tBachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
?\t3+ years of professional accounting experience.
?\tCPA or CPA track preferred
?\tProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
?\tAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
?\tStrong knowledge of GAAP.
?\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
?\tStrong communication and interpersonal abilities.
?\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
?\tDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
?\tHindi speaking a bonus but not necessary (Bookkeeping Team is India Based)
