Senior Power BI Developer

Position Summary:

We are a growing technology-driven company based in Beachwood, Ohio, seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced business intelligence solutions. This high-impact role will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and business strategy. The ideal candidate will have deep Power BI expertise, strong data modeling skills, and the vision to shape the future of analytics across the organization.

This is a hybrid role based in Beachwood, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Power BI solutions (dashboards, reports, data models, and datasets) that deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective, user-friendly BI solutions.
• Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and data accuracy.
• Integrate Power BI with data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud-based platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues quickly to maintain high-quality reporting.
• Document technical specifications and maintain version control.
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Contribute to building a next-generation data and analytics environment as the company scales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• 5+ years of BI development experience, with 3+ years focused on Power BI.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data modeling.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services (Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps.
• Experience administering Power BI Premium and Power BI Service.
• Bonus: Experience integrating Power BI with ERP systems like Dynamics 365.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Power Automate, Paginated Reports, or R/Python for advanced analytics.
