Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to create accurate estimates.
- Develop detailed project cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare and present competitive bids for residential and commercial roofing and remodeling projects.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope, conditions, and potential challenges.
- Work closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to refine project budgets.
- Analyze vendor pricing and negotiate cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and local building codes.
- Use estimating software and tools to streamline calculations and documentation.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure projects are accurately budgeted and executed.
Qualifications: - Experience reading and interpreting blueprints is required.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the roofing or remodeling industry (residential & commercial projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with estimating software and digital tools used in the industry.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to assess risks and foresee project challenges.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
