Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Roofing Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing roofing projects, preparing detailed and competitive estimates, and effectively communicating with both homeowners and commercial property owners. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport and confidence with clients.
Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess existing roof conditions, identify project requirements, and take accurate measurements.
- Develop comprehensive and accurate roofing estimates, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and project timelines.
- Effectively communicate with homeowners and commercial property owners to explain the estimate, answer questions, address concerns, and build trust.
- Proactively follow up on submitted proposals to secure projects and build strong client relationships.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of site visits, estimates, and client communications.
- Identify potential challenges during the estimation process and develop effective solutions.
Qualifications: - 1+ year of experience in roofing estimation.
- Proven track record of accurately estimating residential and commercial roofing projects.
- Strong knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Must be well-spoken, confident, and comfortable interacting with a diverse range of clients.
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
