This position is looking for experienced pharmacy technicians with at least 1 year of experience. Epic experience preferred. Work from home one week per month on a rotational schedule. Major Responsibilities include developing competency in servicing pharmacy customers including obtaining and recording initial demographic and other required information, data entry of required information into the pharmacy system for record keeping, insurance verification and label generation purposes, and cashiering. Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including use of information systems, technology, and automation for dispensing, storage of medications and clerical duties. Develop competence in insurance and third party billing functions including data entry of customer demographics and third-party information, obtaining prior authorizations, maintaining files, investigating and correcting errors, and handling private insurance, workers compensation, and third-party insurance coverage and prescription-related issues. Develops competence in clinical support needs such as DIR fees. If applicable, promotes sale and assists customers in selection and fitting of diabetic footwear, submits insurance billing, and maintains documentation records. May float across multiple Aurora Pharmacy locations. Complies with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards including controlled substance procedures and USP requirements. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Licensure required: Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student registration in Wisconsin; Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire. Patient facing teammates may require Immunization, BLS, and non-vaccine injectable certifications. Education required: High School Graduate. Experience required: No experience required. Skills required include good math, attention to detail, customer service, communication, organization, problem resolution, process development, and basic computer skills. Physical requirements include ability to stand long periods, walk, lift up to 35 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs force, and flexibility to travel among locations.
