MUSIC DIRECTOR / ORGANIST
Full-Time Position (40 Hours/Week)- Position to officially start July 1, 2025, may be sooner if needed.
Are you ready to lead a vibrant parish music ministry that honors Catholic traditions while embracing contemporary worship styles? We are seeking a Music Director/Organist to guide our community in prayerful and engaging liturgies through music.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Music Director/Organist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing music for all liturgical celebrations. Working closely with the pastor and parish leadership, you'll blend the beauty of traditional organ music with contemporary compositions to help fully resonate with all of the faithful.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and execute music (cantoring as needed) for weekday, weekend, and special liturgies.
• Lead and rehearse the Adult Choir and establish a Youth Choir .
• Recruit, train, and mentor cantors and musicians to foster active participation.
• Plan seasonal and sacramental music, drawing from a wide range of Catholic repertoire.
• Collaborate with families to select music for funerals and other special celebrations.
• Maintain and organize musical instruments, equipment, and the music library.
• Create worship aids to support congregational singing.
• Attend parish leadership meetings and actively contribute to the mission of the parish.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proficiency in organ and piano performance.
• A solid understanding of Catholic liturgical music, with the ability to incorporate both traditional and contemporary styles.
• Leadership skills to build and sustain a thriving music ministry and eagerness to assist coworkers.
• A Basic Diploma in Music Ministry (or willingness to pursue one during employment).
