KEYS Academy , a proud member of Health Connect America, is a licensed Private Day School in Virginia, dedicated to serving Special Education students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Your Role as a KEYS Academy Teacher

As a KEYS Academy Teacher , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will:

• Prepare the classroom for engaging activities.
• Establish a clear and respectful classroom environment.
• Develop and implement effective classroom management and individual behavior plans.
• Create lesson plans aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning.
• Utilize student learning data to guide your instructional planning.
• Integrate communication and social skill development into your teaching.
• Align IEP goals with instructional plans to ensure every student’s success.
• Foster a positive, safe, and student-centered learning environment.
• Continuously engage in professional growth to enhance student learning.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• A valid teaching license in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Completion of competency-based training in universal precautions, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and effective communication.
