Position:

ETL Developer

Description:

Stratacent is seeking an experienced ETL developer for a project with a financial customer to help modernize existing data ingestion patterns on their data platform. This modernization requires a strong understanding of ETL and data lake concepts within the AWS ecosystem. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with internal SMEs to understand the overall data architecture and integration points within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., Step Functions, DynamoDB, Glue).
- Analyze existing ETL processes written with Talend and PySpark.
- Develop transformations using PySpark and IICS.
- Perform unit testing and assist with code promotions for user testing.
- Create reusable code for API components, including reusable IICS CAI processes to retrieve JSON/XML data from multiple endpoints.

Requirements:

Required Skills:
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
- Experience reading Dataflux code is a plus.
- Proficiency in IICS is a must.
- Informatica PowerCenter background required.
- Multiple years of programming experience.
- Broad understanding of business and management practices preferred.
- Complete understanding of all SDLC phases.
- Expert knowledge of application design principles, systems development, and analysis.
- Advanced Informatica design and development skills using PowerCenter and PowerExchange.
- Experience developing Informatica PowerCenter ETL mappings using Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager.
- Experience using parameter files, variables, troubleshooting with advanced Informatica techniques such as session partitioning and pushdown optimization.
- Strong Unix command skills for running ETL jobs and troubleshooting files.
- Prior experience in an AGILE environment.
