Job Description
We are seeking chainsaw operators to slash trees under the transmission lines. This will involve tough terrain and hiking in remote areas and requires a high degree of endurance and personal drive. We have two areas with positions to be filled which will be south Vancouver island and with experience and confidence could then transition to out of town work on the Sunshine Coast.
Responsibilities:
-Maintenance of saws and other tools required to fulfill contract obligations
-Consistent attendance with a will for ongoing learning
-Engagement in required training such S100, intermediate first aid and riparian management training
-Working as a team in a truck with 3-4 others and moving consistently up the ROW removing trees.
Qualifications:
-Chainsaw operator training or experience
-First aid training , level 3 a great asset
-Forestry experience is recommended
-Utility experience recognized
-Remote work protocols and ERP familiarity an asset
- Electric Utility “green card”
