You’ll be an integral part of the production team, ensuring that our episodes meet high professional standards and deliver an engaging experience for our audience. This role provides an opportunity to develop your audio engineering skills, work with biotech innovators, and contribute to a podcast that’s shaping the future of life sciences media . Core Responsibilities Audio Recording & Editing – Capture, edit, and refine podcast audio to ensure clear, polished, and professional-quality sound . Audio Enhancement – Add music, intros, outros, and sound effects to enhance the listening experience and maintain a consistent brand identity. Studio Setup & Optimization – Arrive one hour before recording sessions to assist with microphone setup, sound testing, and troubleshooting . Post-Production Processing – Edit and process RAW audio files to balance levels, reduce noise, and optimize clarity. Clip Creation – Edit high-quality soundbites and audio clips for trailers, social media, and promotional material. Collaborative Workflow – Work closely with the videographer and producers to ensure seamless integration of audio and video content. Requirements Experience in Audio Engineering & Editing – Proven experience with podcast or broadcast audio editing (portfolio required). Proficiency with Audio Software – Must be familiar with Pro Tools, Audacity, Adobe Audition, and/or Descript . Commitment & Consistency – Ability to commit to the podcast schedule, including arriving early for setup and consistently producing high-quality edits over the next 3-6 months . Attention to Detail – Strong organizational skills for managing audio files and maintaining sound consistency . Team-Oriented Mindset – Ability to collaborate with videographers, producers, and co-hosts to deliver high-quality episodes.
